We’ve got a problem in the music world these days. Every year or so, a new style emerges and everyone follows it, only to abandon it next year for the next style. This year’s fad would be emo. Emo is a bunch of guys trying to be punk and screaming about failed relationships. Now, I sympathize with the fact that they lost their girlfriend, it definitely sucks. However, I really don’t care enough to hear them constantly screaming about it. Besides, these people are famous now; they can get a new girlfriend whenever they want. There’s hundreds of teenage to twenty-something year old girls that would love to “have their baby”. The sad part is that most of these people are so expendable. Most of the guitar players play nothing but power-chords and the bass player just repeats the same note five or six times the does the same with another note. The music industry just milks these one hit wonders for all they’re worth and then tosses them away. The singers all sound the same and all sing about the same thing. It’s enough to make you want to puke. Spotting an emo band is easy; just look at the name. My Chemical Romance. The name just reeks of being emo and stupid. The only solace that some of us get is that this crap will be over in a few months. All it is, is a bunch of insecure kids trying to be rebellious, by being like all their friends and all their friends’ friends’.
Another thing to spawn out of this emo crap is cutting. I’ve heard people say that they do it to “release the pain inside”. Next time you do it, hit a major artery so we no longer have to deal with you pissing and moaning about your ex-girlfriend. Come to think of it, as a going away present, have her give you some gauze and a razor. What a bunch of masochistic shit. But, I can guarantee that when this ends, the next thing will start and it will be worse. Nothing lasts anymore. Remember 50 Cent? Some people thought he would be a big, huge, everlasting and brilliant rapper. Where is he now? Nobody knows or cares anymore. That fad is over; it’s time for this fad. Instead of hearing about being a gangster, we’re hearing about being a whiney, freshly-dumped singer. Supposedly, emo is a form of punk. Here’s the irony in all this. Punk is supposed to be about being rebellious and not conforming. Well, this is exactly what these people are doing. They’re conforming.

While I thought this was really funny I just want to give my opinions since I'm really opinionated and all that jazz.
I just want to make it clear that Emo is not a new fad it has been around since the 80's and people who are and have been fans of the REAL Emo will know this. Some of the REAL Emo bands are Rites of Spring, The Hated, Moss Icon and Usurp but there are many more. Those are some of my favorite bands. Now a days Emo is short for emotional but back in the 80's it didn't mean that. These punk's and goth's want to make it sound like it is but they are stupid. Then they go around and say that The Used, Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance are Emo. They are NOT, The Used sounds sort of Emo but they are not. Fall Out Boy is pop and My Chemical Romance and The Used are borderlining rock. That and they suck {The lead singer of The Used should really shower, he has a rats nest}.
I also don't get what the person is saying about 50 Cent... 50 Cent is still big, he never really left. He's still around...
Not all cutters are the stereotype of the NEW Emo, trust me. They are not. Just like not all cutters want to commit suicide and not all cutters do it for attention. It all depends on the person their lifestyle. Plus, Everyone now thinks Emo is short for Emotional ... HELLO?! ALL MUSIC IS EMOTIONAL. It's theraputic for most songwriters.. Morons. *le sigh*
